The Flat Coated Retriever is often called the “Peter Pan” of the dog world.  Lively, charming, happy dogs whose most lovely attribute is their continuously wagging tail and their joyful presence.  Once a gamekeeper’s dog, they did small bits of work on farms, and often tended to the children.  They are a moderate sized retriever with a one piece head, and a stunning coat that make them as beautiful on the outside as their hearts are on the inside.  You will find living with these dogs, that they now ‘work’ by carrying something you own outside on each trip out the door, often sleep upside down, and are always ready for any outside adventure.  For us, they are the perfect outdoors companion.
